Unknown Germanic Military Hirschfanger

Here is another unknown Germanic style hirschfanger that I feel is of military origin. It features a ribbed brass grip that simulates a wire wrapped sword grip. The hilt, quillons and attachment loops are all cast as one piece. The shell guard is cast separately with a disc shaped blade spacer. The shell guard is very minimal. The original spring is present on this bayonet and you can see how the mechanism works. The only marking is the small 8 you can see on the cross guard.
